Public Relations and Events Manager (m/f):

 

Job Summary:

The person will be responsible to prospect, coordinate and support all events at the Resort. Will work closely with the Sales & Marketing team as well with the F&B and Operations, managing & facilitating the implementation of the Events on the property. Responsible to plan and execute events, leading the team from the initial conception of the event to its successful completion. Will manage day-to-day administration responsibilities in an efficient, professional & courteous manner.

 

Responsabilities:

• Select event elements and vendors according to the customers goals and expectations;

• Negotiate contracts for the various services and products related to the event, including room rates, F&B menus, entertainment, etc;

• Manage event logistics before and during the event. This may include elements such as transportation, venue preparation, schedules for food preparation, delivery of supplies, and entertainment;

• Collaborates with clients before and during all events by being the primary point of contact for answering questions and resolving issues that arise over the course of the event and to ensure the success of the event.

 

Requirements:

• College / University degree, preferably in Public Relations, Communication or Business Management;

• Prior experience with a minimum 3 years as Events Manager, Preferably in the Hospitality Industry and Golf Resort;

• Courteous & efficient telephone manner;

• Excellent organisational/administrative skills with office management experience;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Spanish, English including strong writing skills with excellent spelling & grammar;

• Ability to prioritise tasks & to manage workload using own initiative;

• Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resources;

• Organized, results-oriented and deadline sensitive;

• Familiar with Country as a destination, its culture and traditions, and the key feeder markets;

• Ability to inspire confidence & gain credibility with senior management;

• Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills;

• Good presentation skills and a pro-active team player.
